Ponsy scheme/pyramid scheme

The more they look into this financial debacle the more it resembles a posy or pyramid scheme.
Back in the day of the Clinton administration they more or less used the affirmative action template to get rid of the red list real estate prejudice against people of color, geographical location and or income bracket, the socioeconomically depressed. The problem is that instead of just leveling the playing field, they went over the cliff, as they did with affirmative action. In affirmative action employers were forced to hire people that were not qualified and with this banking scheme they did basically the same. They were giving loans and mortgages to people that had no business owning that much of a high-end house. They were giving home equity loans for people to buy yachts, second houses, vacations, and fancy expensive cars, knowing full well that they neither had the ways nor the means to pay it back. They gave NINJA loans, (No Income, No Job or Assets, NINJA) Then the housing bubble started to deflate because there were way too many houses than there were buyers and the people that owned houses started to face reality, namely that they could ill afford what they had taken on for debt. The housing market started to see foreclosures and from then on in it was a downhill slide all the way. These supposed financiers and capitalists were presumed to be watching out for us, but they watched out for themselves instead. Now we, the tax payers, take the hit again. The CEOs and CFOs, Jim Johnson the CEO of Fannie Mae and Franklin Rains also of Fannie Mae fame got their hundred mil. severance packages and we get Bupkis. Both these guys, by the way, were advisors to Barack Obama till there was just too much controversy over preferential treatment from places like country wide corp. This Barack Obama just can’t seem to keep away from questionable dubious characters. Ok let’s see what we got here. This financial debacle, which can’t rest just on the shoulders of Obama or the Democrats there is plenty of blame to go around however, I must say that most of the people involved are Democrats. I guess that’s what you get when you want to have everyone have everything, and they want more of it? Talk about more of the same if a certain candidate gets in. With McCain they keep up the mantra of more of the same as Bush, but with Obama we will get worse of the same that caused this calamity. There is the deal with Tony Resco, The Jeremiah Wright fiasco, the William Ayers connection, that now we find out is much more involved than what we were first led believe. Add to that Reverend pflager and you have a man that should be so out of the running it’s not funny and still they keep anointing him. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There is the stretching of truth and making up history to suit his own means. My question is this; “how on God’s green earth can anyone in all good conscience vote for someone that has that many problems in his make up?” As I said, what I have stated here is only part of what I see as disqualifiers for presidency of the United States of America. It's just one thing after another and yet people still continue to support him. I must admit I am at a loss here. I have always prided myself as a pragmatic person who tries to look at things objectively, but this has got me. I know there are some things that may not sit well with people about John McCain, but in comparison, there is no comparison. If anyone thinks Bush’s administration gave us problems and over spending, as the saying goes, “YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTH’N YET.” I really try to be objective about this election, however the more I see and research and hear the more I am incredulous that Obama is as high as he is in the race. Now I haven’t even mentioned that Obama’s purported policies will no doubt lead our country further down the road towards recession by raising taxes and socializing more government programs and the economy. His stand on finance will end this country, as we now know it. Even the most catechumen among us should know that to raise taxes in hard economic times is certain disaster. Basic economics dictate that to increase revenue you lower taxes, there by allowing for growth. There is so much that is negative about this guy that I could fill tomes and reams of paper, but for the life of me, I just can’t understand the fascination with Obama.

Vitriolic Vacissitude

Vitriolic Vacissitude, pretty fancy words for what our political system is going through at this time. That does not lessen the fact that we need to call, write, or e-mail the candidates to erge them to KNOCK IT OFF. We don't need this crap on top of all the other woes in our country and in the world. Here are the addresses in alphabetical order so as not to put anyone ahead of the other.

Biden http://biden.senate.gov/services/contact/
McCain www.johnmccain.com/Contact/
Obama http://obama.senate.gov/contact/
Palin http://gov.state.ak.us/govmail.php

It's hard, but we can make a difference, or at least influence the outcome in some small way.

Our Government let us down

How did we ever get to this point. Well, that question isn't exactly the question we should ask, most of us know how we got here. The question is, with all the people we have in charge in every aspect of the financial theater in this country, why is it that not even one of the hundreds possibly thousands of people in charge that are suppose to be looking out for us warned us? Our elected officials and their appointees just let things go beyond the point of no return. Not one of those greedy, self serving, money grubbing walking sphincters even hinted towards a problem. The few lawmakers that did voice concern got buried in the kluge that is the convoluted mess in Washington and Wall Street. This should never have been allowed to happen in our country. We have so many checks and balances and yet we were let down and our government was complicit in that the people appointed to warn of these pitfalls were so busy worrying about themselves that they couldn't possibly do what they were put there to do. Folks we have to get people in there that are willing and able to reform the mess we have. We are better that this, by far. We need to get our self esteem and pride back. We need to have people in place that will actually do their jobs and look out for us. I'm not one that wants more government intervention, but we won't need any more government control just get the people to do their jobs correctly. This Congress is about the most useless group of all time. It reminds me of Emperor Caligula appointing his horse Incitatus as a senator. The group we have there are just about as useless. Oh wait, I'm wrong here, Incitatus was much better, at least you could ride the horse, but I see that the same stuff comes out of the mouths of our lawmakers as what comes out of the rear end of the horse.

It's not Rocket Surgery

Indeed it is not Rocket Surgery, and you don't have to go to Harvard, Princeton, or Yale to know a basic tenant of economics 101. In a time of financial strain and economic woes you don’t, and I repeat, you do not raise taxes, you lower them and jump-start the economy. What? did these guys sleep all during their classes? Give me a break, or should that be give us a break? What are they think’n? raising taxes on corporations and people earning 250k and up? Who do they think run small businesses? Those people exactly. We all know corporations don’t pay taxes per-se`, they pass any increase in the cost of doing business along to the consumer, Hello, that would be you and I would it not? The answer to that question would be yes, ergo we, the consuming public end up paying more. Maybe on the surface it looks good to say one is going to raise taxes on the rich, but hold on there Nelly. The so-called rich are the ones who run our country's businesses, small and large, and they are the ones who create jobs. I have never worked for a poor person unless it was out of the goodness of my heart for charitable purposes. In general the people that need workers are the people that these taxes would impact the hardest.
I don’t want to see this country go into a full-blown recession and consequent depression by levying taxes and darkening the horizon at a time when we need the entrepreneurial spirit to shine. As I said before, think beyond the slick talk and empty promises and elect people who have shown they can do what is needed to, get-er-done.

Removing doubt and decision one issue at a time.

Here we go again, another bailout by the taxpayers. What is it with these people? Now I’m sure most of us have not graduated from some fancy schmancy business school, or have been in the world of high finance for years and yet I can bet that the vast majority of us would have never made the out right dumb mistakes these idiots have made. Oops, did I call them idiots? Let me rephrase that, foxy, shrewd, greed-mongers. You have noticed I’m sure that the CEOs and CFOs all have their golden parachutes deployed. Many have asked the candidates and the government why something hadn’t been done to avoid such a calamitous situation. I believe the present administration tried but got nowhere with the congress. As a matter of fact one person tried very hard to avert just such a devastating occurrence. What follows is a summery of that act :

Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 1/26/2005 Congressional Research ServiceFederal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005Bill Summary1/26/2005--Introduced. Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005 - Amends the Federal Housing Enterprises Financial Safety and Soundness Act of 1992 to establish: (1) in lieu of the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an independent Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Agency which shall have authority over the Federal Home Loan Bank Finance Corporation, the Federal Home Loan Banks, the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac); and (2) the Federal Housing Enterprise Board. Sets forth operating, administrative, and regulatory provisions of the Agency, including provisions respecting: (1) assessment authority; (2) authority to limit nonmission-related assets; (3) minimum and critical capital levels; (4) risk-based capital test; (5) capital classifications and undercapitalized enterprises; (6) enforcement actions and penalties; (7) golden parachutes; and (8) reporting. Amends the Federal Home Loan Bank Act to establish the Federal Home Loan Bank Finance Corporation. Transfers the functions of the Office of Finance of the Federal Home Loan Banks to such Corporation. Excludes the Federal Home Loan Banks from certain securities reporting requirements. Abolishes the Federal Housing Finance Board.

Had the congress passed this reform act we would quite probably not be in the mess we are in today. After the Enron disaster some forward thinking legislators put together what they considered to be a measure to avert such debacles from occurring again.
The person who put the act forward was John McCain. Of course he is not without fault either.
He was among the legislators to vote for deregulation which some argue lead to this problem.
The bottom line is that on both sides of the isle and through many administrations things have been let go and overlooked. It is time for someone to step up to the plate and take care of business for the people of this country.
As I said in the title removing doubt one issue at a time. From the housing bubble deflation to the latest AIG loan we need the leadership that is willing and has a record of going against the establishment and getting the job done. That my friends I will leave up to you to decide, however, decide by deed and not by rhetoric and your choice will be clear.

Kindergarten capers

Yep, that is exactly what we have now in this election folks, kindergarten capers. They started off with good intentions, as do most politicians whether they are a neophyte or a venerable operative. I for one am incensed by the vitriolic acidic comments and ads. I am insulted as an American to have our solons act in such an absurd manner. It is an affront to our supposed civilized culture. I guess all we can do instead of getting all head-up is take it with a grain of salt and try to laugh at the insipid behavior of our candidates and their minions. Otherwise we will become bitter, mad and cruel to each other and the process by which we choose our leaders.
I fear in some cases it has already come to that juncture, this should not be. Case in point would be the disgraceful treatment of Sarah Palin. Everybody and their brother is dumping on her for everything from motherhood to her tanning practices. I say give it a rest and so do the majority of people in the US. The Left Wing zealots are the worst and on the Right they continue to bash the candidate on foolish things. There is plenty to question on both sides without using hateful demagoguery. When has it become acceptable for the candidate for the Presidency to engage the candidate for the Vise Presidency? Folks this just isn’t right. Please think long and hard about how these people act. It goes a long way towards showing how they would govern.

Not four more years of the same at all

What's with this four more years of Bush crap? Nothing could be further from the truth. Have these people ever heard of McCain/Finegold, or McCain/Lieberman, or McCain/ Kennedy? those are the most prominent ones, but in truth John McCain has done more work on a bi-partisan level than anyone else. The mantra is, well McCain voted 90% of the time with Bush, Well guess what, Obama voted 90% of the time with McCain. The simple fact is that most all votes in the houses are unanimous. They are simply votes for acknowledgments and to sanction some at-a-boy award or other. The hard facts are that unlike Obama who chose to vote "present" instead of standing on Principal, McCain actually tried to accomplish something that mattered to the country. So this excrement of Four more years falls miserably short of the mark when analyzed. As a matter of fact if anyone were going to do something different it would be McCain, not Obama. McCain is for smaller Government and getting rid of ear marks, as is Palin. McCain is for tax reduction, as is Palin. McCain is for a real comprehensive energy plan, as is Palin. Unlike Obama who is only willing to pick and choose what is to be done for energy independence. Who wants to raise taxes instead of giving a break to the working Joe. Ok Here I have to stop, because I know what we have all heard, That Obama will lower taxes for people in the middle class and raise it for those earning 250 K or more. Well guess what, most of those people either own or control a great amount of the businesses that will be passing on their tax increase to the consumer. Now no matter how you look at it, that will end up with us carrying the brunt of the increases. So unlike McCain, Obama wants to grow the Government and along with that increase social programs to the extent of near collapse of our capital system. Where do you think the capital investors will go when they can't afford to do business in this country? Yep, you guessed it, over seas and off shore. That's what that increase in taxes for the upper class will accomplish. Oh yeah and the straw that will bring down our system Will be the social programs among which will be health care for some 12 to 25 Million illegal aliens. Where do you suppose that money will come from? one guess, and I don't want to hear how the increased taxes on the rich will carry it, I have already debunked that misnomer.
Well Folks, Obama's speech at the DNC was indeed an inspiring bit of politics. On it's face, because of the pomp and ceremony along with his Soave rhetorical delivery it was brilliant, however if you really look at the substance of it you will find the same things that you have been hearing for most of your life, the same worn out promises and cliches that we have been handed on a silver platter, only to find out that silver tarnishes before long and so too the promises of the politics as usual. There is no change there at all, none that I can see at any rate. Simply put, our way of life, our capital system and our country cannot afford an Obama presidency. If you think it has been less than sterling the last eight years, like the old saying goes, "You ain't seen nothing yet."
Please try to be fair when you research and make a decision, I know it seems as though I lean one way, that is only because after my exhaustive research I have found one view to be more acceptable than the other, and believe me, I don't give a calorically challenged rodent's posterior as to the party designation, I am interested in the policies programs and over all way of doing things. McCain has proven he can get it done, and at the risk of seeming redundant, so too has Palin. All these things and many more are what I base my view on, I will vote accordingly and have a clear peaceful conscience, not one that had to be massaged into overlooking the cruel naked truth of a society on the brink. We are a strong and decent country and no matter what any ex-president or perspective first lady may say, we have a grand future to look forward to if we think before we choose and not become entrapped in feelings, but apply the facts, unique concept for some I know, but I think not for those of us who apply these rules. Demagoguery should have no place in the decision.

Classy Ladies

I don't know about you guys, but I think Sarah Palin and Cindy McCain are two pretty classy ladies. Now compare what they have accomplished in their lives and their moral outlook and attitude against Michele Obama and there is just no comparison what so ever. Oh Michele has accomplished a great deal, it's just that she chooses to wield her intelligence and accomplishments with careless abandon. The way some conduct themselves and their lives is a tribute to the American way and the ways of good honest hard working folks with a moral compass that is dead on. I could list the accomplishments and the things they do on a daily basis, but their deeds speak for themselves, on the other hand take the statements and attitude of Mrs O and you have a stark contrast in personalities and indeed mores.
Now you are saying to yourself, "what! did some one give him some sort of philter and now he can't help but be smitten with these two gentle women?" The answer would be, "NO" no one gave me a potion to drink at all, what did happen is that I weighed what is known about them and what has been said and came to a conclusion that any right thinking person would have to arrive at given the same research.
As for Sarah's experience and some saying she is inexperienced I say, number one, is that she isn't running for the presidency and number two if you look at her thirteen years in public service and what she has managed you will find she is actually the most experienced of the whole lot of them. Being a Senator for 143 days and then campaigning there after dose not constitute experience in management, by the same token Although John McCain has an exemplary record has no real experience managing or running organizations. The military as we all know is unique in and of it self. As far as Biden is concerned, he has been a Senator for thirty years and once again that does not constitute running anything, unless you count running our pocket books dry.
So when you hear about the lack of experience on the part of Sarah Palin, weigh it against the rest of the pack and you too will find she is far and away out in front.
