Am I the only one who thinks somewhere in the great scheme of things that we are setting ourselves up for a nihilistic apocalypse? It seems that we are systematically going about tearing down all our hard won ideals and freedoms, not to mention morals and way of life, both in and out of politics. We have many people practicing apostasy, which is a total desertion or departure from one's religion, principles, party, cause, etc. How can we possibly continue along this path and not come to the same conclusion I did? What is the answer? I was rather hoping it was going to be a new president. It now appears we are going to have more hard times. I have been checking all the candidates’ proposals. I have to say that McCain is the lesser of the evils so to speak. That is a rather sad testament don’t you think? Why, oh why do the two Democratic candidates seem intent upon destroying our country and our economy? Were they both absent in economics 101 the day they covered basics? For crying out loud, the absolute last thing we need right now in our economy is to raise taxes and put more restrictions on the American public. What the hell is it with them? If either of the two democratic candidates would pull their heads out of their butts and actually put forth some cohesive intelligent plans, they might actually win. As it stands the only way they can win is that voters completely ignore their policies and just vote either with their color or their "x" chromosome.
Do they not see the absolute need to confront radicals at every turn? No one ever wants to go to war, or be constantly on the defensive against radicals that wish to obliterate our way of life, but hell man, it is necessary. If evil is not confronted and complacency and or denial is allowed to rule, than we are truly doomed. Just ask a holocaust survivor. When any society allows radicals to have their way without confrontation it always ends in disaster. Just ask the Roman Empire. The list is as long as civilization it self. We don’t need to tell everyone else how to live. What we do need to do is, be ever vigilant in our fight for freedom, which unfortunately includes confronting and if necessary overcoming by force an enemy that has no central organization. That is to say, we will probably never sign anything like the treaty of Ghent or the treaty of Versailles in which there were clearly drawn sides and leaders that could be addressed and dealt with accordingly. With the radicals now our days we may never have a clear-cut victory. Our only sign that we have won will probably be relative safety and peace. In our dilemma we have a kluge of unrelated groups that have only the idea of our destruction in common. Oh yeah, lest we forget, there is always the fact that, their way, is the only way. As I said I have searched high and low to find someone who could pull our bacon out of the fire. In all honesty the only one that I would consider a champion for the people is Newt Gingrich, unfortunately he is not running this time around. All we can hope for is that whoever gets in doesn’t actually screw things up to the point beyond repair and that someone like Newt will come along in four years and bring us out of the darkness into the light.

Pelosi and Reid
Nancy Pelosi, (Speaker of The House) Senator Harry Reid, (Senate Majority Leader) are there any more useless people in positions of power? They ran their mouths left right and sideways, mostly left of course when they were elected. The facts remain that they were so damn full of themselves after they won the majority by the slimmest of margins that they gave lip service to everything from the war to dogcatcher. Oh yeah, they were going to do wonders. Guess what, they have failed so miserably that it is embarrassing. Perhaps the only other politicians of late that could possibly run a close second would be, Howard Dean, (Chairman of the Democratic National Committee) what a piece of work, or Jimmy Carter, (President from 1977 to 1981) who by the way is a shining example of either not doing a damn thing for the country, or doing things that damned the country. Case in point, thank you Jimmy Carter for the deregulation of the airline industry that led us to the God-awful mess we now face. So perhaps we should thank our lucky stars that they didn’t do more. I tend to think they would follow Jimmy Carter and do more to hurt and undermine our country than they would help it. Perfidy is the act of violating faith or promise. I believe that about sums it up with these guys, don’t you?

More of my time wasted
“Quit wasting my time and money.”
That is my wail. These alleged solons, or maybe a better phrase would be solonian miscreants, that we put into positions of power are just outright useless.
We would be much better served by installing Incitatus the horse as a senator, as did Caligula, than many that we now have. At least with the horse we know if we put hay in one end than manure will come out the other. With our politicians they spend our treasure and time and still we get manure, only in the case of our officials the manure comes out of every orifice. It comes out in the form of lies, misspent and misappropriated funds, as well as having the uncanny ability to be consistent in doing the wrong thing, not to mention that one must search far and wide to find a politician that isn’t in some illegal activity or morally bankrupt sexual liaison. It is my fervent wish that we had a candidate worth voting for.

Arianna Huffington, a disgusting person
Arianna Huffington has got to be one of the world’s most disgusting human beings.
Here is my thinking behind that statement. She allows the most sordid, detestable, vicious language to be vetted on her blog. She hides behind the thinly veiled excuse of anonymity and her outright lies of, “they get taken down as soon as we see something that is hateful,” oh, spare me. There have been countless postings of the utmost vile, insidious, contemptible statements that have been left up on that site for months at a time for the entire world to see. Among the lowest forms of bottom feeders are the people that make a living at the expense of others. (There is no need here to go into the part that politicians, lawyers, or paparazzi play in such a scenario.) My point here, besides exposing these revolting, repulsive types for exactly what they are, is, that these types become, not so much famous, as infamous. They prey on the weak and dull of mind to further their standing in circles that trade in such obnoxious things. It is a sad testimony to our society when attacks the likes of which mankind can ill afford are haled instead of reviled and loathed. Their rights to be hateful and nauseating may well be the downfall of a barely civilized society.

Barack Obama could have made history
Barack Obama could have made history in his speech on March 18th 2008. It is extremely unfortunate that he failed to see the opportunity to capitalize on a perfect occasion to really go down in the annals of history as the one who was able to bring about the real change he keeps espousing at any given opportunity. It is very unfortunate indeed that he failed to point out that the manner of hateful rhetoric we have been exposed to in the previous week or so is just exactly the kind of thing that prevent us as a country from moving forward and achieving that utopian goal of equality and justice for all. The kind of hatred and vitriol that some on both sides spew out is nothing short of loathsome, repugnant, and vile in the extreme. That is why the opportunity missed by Barack Obama is even more disheartening. The time is long past due for us to have a leader that will bring about what we need as a race to prosper or even survive beyond a few fleeting moments in time and to do it with dignity.
There will never be equality in this country until the black community can manage to let go of slavery. It is used by many as an excuse, a crutch and justification for a myriad of things, from joblessness to HIV-aids and everything you could possibly conceive of in between. The never-ending victim angle is alive and well and in play whenever the complaints of racism are trotted out. That’s not to say we don’t have problems to overcome, however playing the blame game is not the way to solve our predicament. There will never be equality in this country until one side ceases beating up the other over past acts of atrocities. For some it was slavery such as was perpetrated against the Jews in Rome and in Egypt, or the atrocities against the Jews in Germany, the genocide in Darfur, the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia, the bigoted and at times lethal treatment of the Irish in the early 1900s, the terrible treatment of the Italians at the hands of people like Mussolini. The black on black slave trade of the 1800s, or the slavery here in our own country in the same era, or September 1, 2001. All these dark times and so many more are the history of mankind whether it is 7 years ago, 60 years ago, 150 years ago or 2000 years ago, the point is that the human race has been perpetrating crimes against itself for as long as man has been on this planet. We must now seize the opportunity to examine our foolish and destructive behavior. By doing so we can only hope that we will find a solution to our insanity.
It is a shame that some in this country use to their advantage the divisive rhetoric that on a daily basis can be found in all walks of life and by all manner of people. Some continue to dangle the ever-elusive carrot of a colorblind society in front of people in the form of social programs that do little more than keep people dependant upon the system and the government in general. Furthermore these same groups use their power over others to further their own political agenda. They use the power of the vote from these oppressed groups that they so insidiously profess to be helping for their own self-serving purposes. We must quit just giving lip service to the phrase of putting an end to the politics of the past and look forward to a future that is bright with hope and change. That should be the true message of hope and change so continually expounded by the presidential candidates. We can only hope that perhaps in the future a candidate will join our fight to stay a viable society. Unfortunately I see no one at this time who can coalesce the peoples of our country and the world, to bring about what is so dearly needed.

Rush did not help
What is it with the spin doctors around here anyway? Places like Newsmax and some other of their ilk are touting that Rush helped put Hillary over in Texas, WRONG!
The Republican cross-over vote was 9%, of that the majority actually went with Barry O
So much for the Rush factor. I do believe however that he probably carries quite a bit of weight and I mean that figuratively not literally. Therefore I believe there is some pressure put to bare by the Limbaugh crowd, but I don't really think he can determine the outcome of an election. Having said that, I'm not so sure about Bush's presidency and the campaign leading up to his becoming the 43rd president of our great country. I'm convinced that Rush and others like him had a great deal to do with getting him elected to his first and second terms, if in no other way at least in name recognition. That in and of it self would transfer over into some votes and as it was such a close contested race it would only take a little nudge here and a word there to turn the tide. A word of caution here, the Democrats are making plans to destroy our way of life as we know it. If what it looks like is going to happen, a Democrat in the White House, you can kiss your pocketbook goodbye, you can kiss a good many of your freedoms goodbye, and you can kiss decent health care goodbye, oh I almost forgot, you can kiss about 30 million aliens and there subsequent extended families hello. That would also lead to kissing many of our jobs goodbye. You better think long and hard about this and put the ideology and demagoguery aside and do what is best for our country and our future.
