So Confusing

Help me out here will ya? I’m confused.
There may have to be a certain amount of afflatus here to get me to understand this one, but than again who am I to denounce any divine intervention.
There is something that has been bothering me for some time now and I have yet to receive an answer that makes any sense at all. Why is it that liberals profess to be for the people, the working man, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, when in fact their actions and rhetoric belies that premise and indeed points to just exactly the opposite.
Cases in point:
LIFE; partial birth abortion, what is it with that heinous practice? I mean ripping apart a baby half way out of the womb, or drilling into its tiny little head and scrambling its brains till it is no longer alive? Then unceremoniously disposing of the tiny human as if it had no more worth than yesterday’s garbage. What kind of a sick monster would sanction anything so vile? Other things repulse us that are nowhere near as disgusting, and yet in some circles it is acceptable to carry out such atrocities? Why is it that on the one hand the left is so damn rabid about not stopping an enemy who is trying desperately to destroy our way of life, granted it takes the hard road of survival of the fittest, but what are the alternatives. The radical factions of this world have stated their intentions quite clearly and have left us with precious few options. On the other hand some deem it an acceptable practice to murder a fully functional human being. I’m sorry, but somehow the logic of that totally eludes me. Now maybe I’m a bit slow on the uptake, so can anyone enlighten me as to the common sense or the judgment behind that way of thinking?

LIBERTY:
If as is quite often given countless hours of lip service, liberals are for liberty, then why is it that they unceasingly keep trying to put forth bills and laws that take away our liberties at every turn? They continually hand over to the government more authority than was ever intended, by doing so they abdicate our rights over to the government and away from the people.

THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS:
Ok here is a sticky one. Have you ever just sat and listened to the countless hours of bemoaning the state of the country, the world, the economy, life in general. It’s like everything sucks to these guys. How about some optimism? How about some enthusiastic accolades for jobs well done by the people of this country? How about some faith in the American people and our capitalist system, the free market system to right the problems? How about not always relying on the government to bail things out? How about congratulating the country with supporting nearly 80 % of the world’s impoverished nations with infrastructure, food, medicine, education, security, what about that huh? How about not always taking everyone else’s side over our own country’s when it comes to who’s right and who’s wrong. You see where my dilemma lies? Of course you don’t, because there is no dilemma, there is no dichotomy; the facts bear out the argument.
