There's stupid and then there's STUPID

What the hell is wrong with a people that when one of their popular politicians gets assassinated they immediately proceed to destroy their country? I guess I get that they are frustrated and were hoping for change in their government, but I guess I need it explained to me how destroying hospitals, buses, schools and buildings of commerce furthers their cause in any way what so ever? We wonder why the rest of the sane world is concerned with the Middle East? why is it that people the world over don't see the threat that is posed upon rational society by these whack jobs?
